Task A
$\blacktriangleright$  Write an email
Hi Kim,
I just remembered that you love going to theatre shows and that you also love Shakespeare so I thought you would love what I want to tell you! Every year, my school organises a theatre project and this year I also took part. My parents had taken me to "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in January and when I saw the show, it was clear to me that I wanted to do something theatre-related as well because I was so fascinated with the play and the theatre in general. So I joined the theatre project at my school.
I was responsible for organising the casting for this years play "Romeo and Juliet". I was super excited abot that task because I love how I can determine who would play a specific character best. However, when the casting took place, I was so surprised! No one had shown up for the role of Romeo. No one, can you imagine that? I was about to panic but then I looked at the poster that promoted the casting - but there was no casting for Romeo on it! So I made a new poster and 15 boys came to the casting! So everything went fine!
Although we just finished the casting, we already plan for next year's project! I am thinking about doing something more recent, like maybe "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child". What do you think about that?
See you soon
Sophie
Task B
$\blacktriangleright$  Write a story
Isn't it the biggest dream of a teenager to spend New Year's Eve with his friends at some special place - without parents or neighbours to bother you? Well this dream came true last year for me and my friends! We booked a little house in the mountains close to a big lake. The brochure said that there was a train station close by, so none of our parents would have to drive us there. But when we arrived at the train station, we noticed that the house was nowhere in sight! We didn't know what to do and it was dark already, so there was no chance to just walk there because we didn't have a map or something like that!
Apparently, we looked quite lost because a truck driver stopped and asked us whether we needed any help. When we told him about our tiny problem, he offered to drop us there because he was living close to exactly that house!
We were super lucky about that - but then, he even offered us to come to his house to eat dinner together. After a long day and a lot of stress, that was just what we needed. We had a great evening with the truck driver and his family. The next day we spent preparing everything for New Year and it was the best holiday I ever had!
