Countryside vs. Cityside - who's gonna win?
It's always the same: If you grow up in the countryside, you hate it and wish you would live in a city where options are nearly limitless. If you grow up in a city, you hate it and wish you could live on the countryside where you are surrounded by beautiful landscapes. But which place is more preferrable?
Growing up on the countryside, you are much freer to do whatever you want to do. Parents are much less concerned about you going to school by yourself for instance. That is due to the fact, that living in the country, there are a lot less potential dangers or criminals. You don't have to be afraid of walking home at night or of not having locked your bike when you don't need it - you will find it safe and sound just where you left it! Moreover, you can spend your time outdoors surrounded by woods, mountains, lakes or vast fields. This is much healthier for you as well - inhaling fresh air and being able to do sports outdoors.
However, living in the city has advantages as well. Young people are pretty flexible in their choices. They can pick which school they will attend, they can spend their free time however they like, going to the movies, going to the mall or visiting a museum - literally everything is available in the city. Furthermore, teenagers are able to earn their own money much more easily. There are a lot more cafes, shops or other possibilities to work and earn money. This means growing independency from parents as well!
Wouldn't it be nice to live in a suburb then? You could enjoy both the countryside and the citylife whenever you wanted!
