The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is one of American author F. Scott Fitzgerald's most famous novels. It revolves around the mysterious Jay Gatsby who has made vast fortunes in order to impress and gain former debutante Daisy Buchanan who is married to aristocratic Tom Buchanan.
The novel explores themes of idealism, resistance to change, social upheaval and excess and thus creates a matching portrait of the Roaring Twenties. It is considered a tale regarding the American Dream.
