Your grandparents plan an adventurous trip to Greenland. You found this offer for a whale safari on the internet. Inform your grandparents about the details of the trip in German.

Whale safari

Disko Bay is known for its icebergs, but in summer there are often as many whales as icebergs. They can be found around the whole Disko Bay region at that time, sometimes close to the town, other times in the ice fjord or up north at Arveprinsens Ejland.
In summer, the humpback whale, minke whale and fin whale are the most numerous species. The humpback whale is the acrobat among the whales, despite its huge size of up to 18 metres and 30 tonnes. When it jumps, it can launch its whole body out of the water and strike the surface with its tail and fins. It is easy to recognise by the hump on its back and its long fins.
During the trip, we are in constant radio contact with local fishermen and hunters, who keep the crew up to date with the latest whale sightings. In summer months there are really good opportunities to see whales in Disko Bay, so remember your camera with charged batteries and extra memory cards.
The trip takes place in the summer period from May to September. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes, because it is cold on the ice fjord in both summer and winter. The excursion requires a minimum of four participants to proceed and takes three hours. For an adult (+12 years) it is DKK 1,195, children (2-11 years) pay DKK 597.50 and infants (0-1 years) are free.
