Part 1: E-mail
Hi Sarah,
How are you? I hope you are fine.
I moved to England three weeks ago. I live in a shared flat with some nice people. We get along very well. My neighbours are friendly too.
My new school is stricter than in Germany. We have to follow many rules. My favourite subjects are English and PE. After school, I sometimes play football with my classmates.
Would you like to meet in the summer holidays? We could spend a day together.
Best wishes,
Sam
Part 2: A day without my phone
Last Saturday, I spent a whole day without my phone. In the morning, I forgot it at home when I went to visit my grandparents. At first, I felt nervous because I could not check my messages or use social media. It was also difficult because I did not have access to information on the internet.
Later, I started to enjoy the day. We went for a walk in the park and talked a lot. I felt more relaxed and less stressed. In the evening, I read a book and played board games with my family.
At the end of the day, I realized that a digital detox can be very helpful.
