Part 1: E-mail
Dear Club Team,
My name is Jen Mayer and I am a member of your club. I spent half a year in England. There I learned a new sport called rugby.
I really like rugby because it is exciting, fast and played in a team. It is good for your health because it improves fitness, strength and teamwork skills.
To play rugby, you need sports clothes, football boots and a rugby ball. It can be played on a large grass field.
I would like to offer a free try-out for all club members because I want more people to learn about rugby and see how much fun it is. I can show the basic rules and exercises.
I hope you will think about my idea.
Best wishes,
Jen Mayer
Part 2:
Task A: Essay
A song that is important in my life is "Heartbreak Weather" by Niall Horan. It is a pop song with a catchy melody and a lot of energy. I like this song because it talks about strong feelings after a relationship ends. One important line is about missing someone even when you try to move on.
I often listen to this song when I am walking, doing homework or travelling by bus. The music helps me relax and think about my own experiences. I also enjoy the rhythm and Niall Horan's voice.
When I listen to "Heartbreak Weather", I feel calm, motivated and sometimes a little nostalgic. It is a song that I never get tired of listening to.
Task B: Comment
I agree that e-sport is not a real sport.
In my opinion, a real sport should include a lot of physical activity. In e-sport, players usually sit in front of a computer for many hours. They use their hands and their minds, but they do not move their bodies very much.
Of course, e-sport players need concentration, quick reactions and good teamwork. They also train regularly and take part in competitions. However, these things alone do not make it a real sport.
Traditional sports like football, basketball or swimming improve fitness, strength and endurance. E-sport does not offer the same physical benefits.
Therefore, I think e-sport is an interesting hobby and competition, but it is not a real sport.
