Creative Writing: Picture story

Last week Pat was in a video call with sports friends.

They planned to have dinner together at eight o’clock. After the call, Pat went into the kitchen and started cooking.

She prepared a roast, salad and vegetables.

Her dog Brutus watched her because the food smelled wonderful.

At 7:40, Pat had finished setting the table.

Suddenly, she noticed that there was no dessert. She quickly took a bag and went to a nearby café to buy ice cream.

While she was away, Brutus jumped onto the table and ate nearly the whole meal. When Pat returned, she was shocked by the mess.

Brutus looked very happy, but Pat’s special dinner was completely ruined.
